The collision avoidance system minimizes a crane’s collision risk with an obstacle or with another crane by monitoring all of the crane’s movements.

The system can restrict the crane from operating in certain areas specified as forbidden.

By monitoring the real time position of various cranes simultaneously it can prevent collisions with other cranes as well.

In case an imminent collision is detected the system only allows movements away from the collision course. The operator is also warned using both acoustic and visual signals.
